The Symposium “Global Alliance for Physical Activity" will take place on 24 April 2026 in Riga (Latvia) at the Konventa sēta Hotel – Keystone Collection.

During this very important scientific event we will discuss some of the pillars of EFSMA scientific position: the screening and the promotion of physical exercise against inactivity; and Sports Medicine as a means of prevention and health promotion for the improvement of health and quality of life for all people in Europe.

The event also marks the Official Launch of the “Sports Physician Handbook” of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS), a prestigious tool and reference that covers all key areas of the activity as professionals working in sports.

Finally, the President of the Latvian Sports Medicine Association, MD Dr. Sandra Rozenštoka, will sign the Hamburg Declaration, representing the Global Physical Activity Alliance. The signing marks a significant step in LSMA’s efforts to protect the long-term health of populations, promote inclusion, and support sustainable human performance at all levels of sport and physical activity. This initiative is a collective commitment to translate the Declaration into concrete, science-based actions that benefit athletes and active individuals of all ages and abilities.
