Active Living ,and Beyond - how to Move Forward

HEPA (European Network for the promotion of Health-Enhancing Physical Activity) is a "grouping" of the European section of the WHO, representing all facets of physical activity.
This year's meeting took place on the grounds of the University of Southern Denmark, a huge campus, but it still managed to get through to the lecture halls and auditorium. About 180 participants, mostly female and young, specialized in sports science, public health and probably also some sports physicians. The program was extensive with keynote lectures, symposia and 5 parallel sessions, all on the topic of physical activity. The lectures on good to very good level, remarkably an excellent session on cycling and health under the chair of Oja Pekka Stockholm.
Besides, all participants could ride by the way from the railway station to the Campus in a group with the bicycle. Participants from Germany only few, among them one poster (attached), Unusually variously the topics, all to sport, movement and physical activity, many studies and concepts to the daily activity and to the active transport in  cities and countries (Abstracts on the homepage: http://hepaeurope2019.org ). Here the substantial deficits show up in Germany. Significantly also multicentre studies partly beyond national borders. Participation with the coming congresses can be advised without reservation.
Finally, the Global Strategy for Diet, Physical Activity and the Global Action Plan for Physical Activity (GAPPA) was discussed in detail, with final information on the homepage.
